Summer Camp 2012: July 15-20

Kidz Inc. Summer Camp is designed to be the BEST part of every child’s summer. From giant slip n’ slides, fishing, campfires, flashlight tag, group games and scavenger hunts, kids are guaranteed to have fun and discover some pretty exciting truths about Jesus.
When & Where
This year, camp is July 15-20 at Lost River Retreat Center in West Virginia. We depart Sunday, July 15 at 3pm from Fair Oaks Church and return Friday, July 20 around noon.
Who can attend
Summer camp is open to all kids entering grades 2 – 7 in the fall of 2012. You don’t need to be a member of the church to attend summer camp, so feel free to invite friends & family!
What to expect
We place a high priority on teaching kids Biblical truth in a fun and creative way. This year, the camp theme is Zapped. We’ll be following the life of Peter to learn how he was zapped by God’s love and changed forever. Campers will be challenged and encouraged through the teaching, worship and small group activities. In addition to our main sessions, campers will enjoy swimming, hiking, recreation games, parachute games, crafts, flashlight tag, scavenger hunts and so much more.
Counselors
Your child’s safety and wellbeing are important to us, so we make sure that all of our camp counselors undergo extensive training and a background check. All camp counselors are members of Fair Oaks Church and serve regularly in the children’s ministry. They also receive training in CPR and First Aid before camp.
About Lost River Retreat Center
Lost River Retreat Center is located on several beautiful acres of land in Lost City, West Virginia. Campers can enjoy the fishing pond, large recreation areas and playground all on site. The swimming lake is just a short bus ride away.
Lost River Retreat Center provides excellent lodging for campers. Each cabin sleeps 4 to 5 people and has it’s own personal full bathroom and closet. Typically 3 to 4 children sleep in each cabin with at least 1 counselor in each room.
